Andy Reid or Norv Turner.. Which would you pick?

If I were JR and wanted a new coach, I would put together a team of professionals and tell them to search pro and college ranks with a specific objective in mind. That objective would be to find the person who most closely replicated the characteristics of Mike Tomlin. Someone with his level of experience, who communicates like him, whose expectations for players are like his, etc.

In my mind, he is one of the best coaches in the league right now, and you just have to wonder what he could do with our squad.

Both Belichick and Coughlin were retreads

Belichick was only a HC for 4 seasons.

How long have Reid and Turner been HC's?

Not comparable imo.

There isnt no well he is still rather green and might have some potential with Reid and Turner. They have had their chances and are what they are.

Reid is the beneficiary of a very well run personnel system in Philly. I have my doubts as to whether he'd be able to duplicate his successes away from that system.

Add in that he's one of those coaches whose teams always look great in the regular season but all too often fold in the playoffs.

Turner? As an OC? Sure. Head coach? Nah.

Isnt Reid the final say Personnell guy? Or was..

maybe having his starting qb miss games/go on the reserve list almost every single year has something to do with it

Truthfully, if you want retreads, guys who were only moderately successful in their first stint (Belichick, Coughlin, Vermeil) often produce better results with their second team while more successful ones tend to fail to replicate their prior successes.

If they've been unsuccessful with more than one team though (Turner, Capers, others) stay away.
