David Gettis Practicing Again

I really hope Gettis can come back. We saw flashes of a really good player his rookie year. If he can come back he's got huge potential.

He's a track star that can play football or a football player who excelled in track depending on how you look at it. The point is the guy is fast. Steve Smith fast except Gettis is 6'3" and 218 lbs. (Smitty is 5'9" and 185).

While I like Lafell and feel he can be a good receiver our offense excels with receivers who can get down the field fast. Look how often Cam throws deep. It's not called Air Coryell so that we can throw short post routes to a good possession receiver.

Gettis just fits the scheme. Doesn't mean he'll be great but he's got the physical tools that our offensive scheme covents.

Found this on youtube. Check out how often he catches a pass where he's blown by his defender way down the field and then pulls away.

I really liked the way Gettis and LaFell showed up that year. I think that Gettis will be a huge for our offense. I'm just now sure if it will be this year...

Some of us were fans before Cam was drafted and we witnessed the 2010 debacle. He was one of the few bright spots. Welcome aboard newbie.

Yeah I'm definitely excited to see Gettis back and what he can do. Since this season is a wash anyways, we need to find out what we have for next season and draft needs. If Gettis can show us something, I don't think we really need to spend an early pick on WR if Smitty's done. I still think we have greater needs than WR, like DBs...Safety specifically.
