Simply put times are tough and can this team say it is worth the money for some to go to the stadum pay for the parking and the food and such? If you say yes then how long to you hold that investment? 1 year? 2? 4? If you say no then support your local bar until the team show up and buy those tickets back when they do.

He said he sold his tickets - I'm guessing that would mean he sold them to other fans, and that he didn't turn his seats into the front office and eat the cost of his PSL. All he did was assure that another fan would be coming into the stadium and presumably spending money on the product. If his end goal is that he wants to send a message to JR who he thinks only cares about making money and nothing else, then like you said, eating the tickets, vowing not to spend any money in the stadium, sending this info. through the Panthers e-mail feedback (which has been proven to be a voice that obviously is heard given the phone calls that JR and other staff members have personally given), is a better way to get his point across rather than a message board post that may or may not get read.
