College offense is going to kill Cam's career....

To me just as big of a problem is too many deep routes and Cam not taking what's underneath. The middle is there.

I do agree. Our tight end was open several times, and Cam either didn't see him, or decided to take the longer pass.

But I have to point out that there were at least 4 occassions (maybe more) when Cam did throw the short stuff and just missed. Two tipped passes, one of which was a screen that might have picked up a first down, the end play with hartsock and at least one other in which Cam just whiffed. Also, a couple were dropped by the receivers.

Also, Seattle's corner's are really really good. Somebody should have pointed out to Cam that it might not be easy to get to the receivers and look for olsen instead. If they didn't, its a coaching breakdown. If they did, then its on cam.

You would think our coaches would mimic the offenses that put up 30 on us every week. Minus Sea and TB of course. Still they owned TOP

The three offenses that put 30 on us were led by Eli Manning, Matt Ryan, and Drew Brees. They put 30 on a lot of teams because they are three of the best in the league. Our qb isn't that good yet. He may be eventually, but not yet.

There is a reason the option has been out of the NFL forever. Even with phenomenal athlete like Cam, it has not permanent place here. Occasionally, yes. As a base, definitely not and I agree with OP, it is setting Cam back. Do they see him as that bad of a drop back passer to relegate him to this kid style offense?

Simple question.

Does anyone believe the wildcat or a read-option offense will take our team to the playoffs/Super Bowl?

If not, why are we still running 5 weeks into the NFL regular season. If so, why isn't it succeeding. Need a different offensive skill set of players? If so...where and what.

If we run that crap once on our first 2 drives, I'm turning the game off

In fact if we don't come out with a completely different look, a more opened up look I'm turning it off

At this point its about winning, but to me its about the coaches showing us something which they haven't

LOL at the idea Cam can learn a true pro-style offense. He can't read a defense or go through progressions. Don't you guys realize what had to be done to get a playbook that he can execute? Why in hell do you think he doesn't review pics on the sidelines?

I want to know what happened at the point this past offseason when we decided to throw away one of the best, if not the best, base offenses in franchise history in favor of a college based system. What made Chud decide to do that? Why didn't anyone tell him "you know Chud, that might be a bad idea. There's a reason why it's a COLLEGE based system."?

Yeah, its not like Rivera is putting his stamp on the defense or something. He looks like he is not even involved with the Panthers. Chud does what he wants, and McDermott does too. Dan Henning was one of the most innovative OCs in the history of the league, but Fox was like we are gonna run that pill and do playaction. He fell in line. Chud needs his leash tightened.
