Steve Smith talks about retirement AGAIN

Just saying. 89 is the most passionate player ever in this franchise and idiots have the nerve to question his attitude. I'm sick and tired of it. We should be complaining about players like Lafail etc who arn't doing anything but instead we criticize our biggest threat on offense? 89 don't need us, we need him. If we don't want him, trade him to Atl so he can be on a competitive team and blow our defense up twice a year for how many more years he has left. Itll be nice to see this huddle shut the fcuk up

Yeah, Smith has heart and passion....

He also has stupidity that pops up and people try to claim that is heart and passion. It isn't.

I don't think he is garbage or that his physical ability suggests he should retire.

Simply pointing out what 89 did Sunday was utter poo....and he hurt this offense. The past 3 weeks he hasn't lived up to what is expected of him on this team.

....and LaFell ain't got diddly to do with what is expected of a player of 89's caliber with a C on his jersey.

Captains don't kill drives and get 15yd penalties like Steve. Steve is still immature.

I agree, in a football environment....Smith will always be a hot head and immature. Said it this offseason when everyone claimed one season (2011) meant Steve was now mature.

I can't stand Clausen....put Smith was an immature brat in 2010. Every other year Smith turns into a brat

Drive killing penalties and the fact he's dropped five balls this year. Take off the homer glasses.

My homer glasss sees that Smith is:

  • He's tied at 15th in the league in receiving yards with 388 (Tony Gonzalez)
  • He's averaging 18.5 yards receiving (Clyde Gates NYJ, Tate Cin)
  • He's tied at 17th in the league averaging 77.6 yards per game
  • All of this with only 21 receptions.

Steve Smith by far is the best WR on the team and obviously one of the best in the league. Put on your homer glasses...
