Steve Smith fighting with CB

Bc 89 has a resume of bad behaviors in the past, you lump Smith's heart in to be bad behavior. That wasn't bad behavior.

I am not questioning his heart.....simply stating all actions aren't a display of heart.

And yes, Smith's behavior today, hurt the team. He took himself out of plays. He was down right clueless to what was going on with his offenses bc he had to "prove" something. Dumb. That wasn't heart....that was his emotions getting the best of him.

Well what happened to Lafail and Murphy? I guess their skills took them out of plays for most of the season.

can you point out a play where they were preoccupied with showing up a corner that they weren't paying attention to the offensive plays?

Smith was a joke today. Bringing up those other WRs doesn't mean anything. LaFell had a decent game....3 targets, 3 receptions (for more yards than Smith on his 13 targets.....some of which he wasn't even looking for balls bc he was too busy trying to get his hands on a CB)

He had one bad game playing against pretty damn good cbs. I don't see why no one is making a thread complaining about Lafell do I? But everyone is willing to settle on a 2-3 rec game from Lafail here and there and praises him like he's God.

89 can do whatever he wants with what he has done for the franchise and this season so far. I'm sure anyone's emotion would gets the best of them when your 1-3 going to 1-4.

No, Smith wasn't taken out of the game bc of good CB play......there were points in that game he wasn't even trying to get open for his route and looking to catch balls. He was just trying to show up a CB.

Smith hasn't played great the past 3 games.....he isn't a victim. He is a reason we are losing.

In a Chud scheme....receiving targets go #1 WR, TE, and then RB/#2 WR.....That is supported by everything Chud and Norv have done in recent years. LaFell had some nice grabs today.

And Smith can't do whatever he wants.....that is the thing about WRs like him. eventually the good wont outweigh the bad. He isn't of the Jerry Rice or Donald Driver mold. He won't have a place here once his skills dimish....bc then he will just be a problem.

I disagree. Think back to the Seattle vs Green Bay game. Seattle's DBs manhandled Green Bay's receivers that game. I haven't seen other Seattle games, but I'd be willing to bet that happens in every game. I'm sure Smitty saw some film and decided that wasn't happening. He probably felt he needed to strike first and often.
