2 years from now.....

I don't figure this will be a popular thread. When are mine ever popular except when I post something highly controversial that gets the blood pumping of others.

That being said..

2 years from now, we'll have an elite QB. Cam has all the ability in the world. He isn't a master at the pro level yet. Not that it is expected of any QB in their 2nd year.

Started watching last Sunday's game again...

Our QB is so very young, and still very raw. I don't think many took that into considering as their hopes and expectations for this season grew.

That affects every play.

That affects how other play makers get and don't get the ball. I mention this cause Tolbert seems to be everybody's favorite target this week.

Most QB development shows that QB's show a huge improvement in their 3rd year, as they eventually begin to "get it".

That would be next year, if things go well.

We'll still have a good backfield.

It will be interesting to know who will be our #1, as it certainly won't be Steve Smith, or any other receiver currently on the roster.

But Cam, will be a complete QB. He'll be much better at reading defenses. He'll be much better at his decision making. He'll be much better at spreading the ball around.

I'm sorry you wasted your time and frustrations posting this thread. Cuz believe me, anyone that possesses any reasonable thought has already come to this conclusion. All you're gonna hear here is a bunch of impatient know-it-alls. According to half the users on this thread we should go undefeated every year. We stand no chance at making any improvements cause everybody knows that if you have problems fire your coaching staff and everything will be ok and you'll win every game. I'm with you though. Sure I wish we were perfect in every facet of the game, but I am willing to wait for a real franchise, and not a one hit wonder. Besides it's not like some of the greats in this sport didn't struggle. Elway and montana had great debut seasons. But then went years without any measurable success. Again, don't waste your time with these spoiled know it all brats.

2 years from now another team team will be reaping our elite QB because he will leave because we failed to put a team around him.

Also, he will be out because the local media publishes story after story talking about how he is the problem. They are so scared to challenge the head coach or coordinators its ridiculous. There has not been one article about the play-calling are the crap o-line play. No one has mentioned that when Cam was 2 for 14, he had been actually hit on nine of those plays. Smitty dropped two and was interfered with on the other. Man, can a dude get a break?
