Lived in both.

Just totally different. And both are big places.

I lived in Pebble Beach. Totally different than Sacramento or San Diego or Tahoe or Needles.

Just as Fayetteville is different than Davidson and Hendersonville and Avon.

So why is it going up in California, but dropping in North Carolina. Gas prices at my local station have dropped 12 cents a gallon in the last couple of weeks (down to $3.60 a gallon).

It's just a local problem. California's largest refinery is having an "outage" maintenance.

yea, I did some searches on it after I wrote that, Its really crazy that one refinery going down could cause so much of a problem.

Gives you a little pause since almost the entirety of US refineries are over 50 years old.

I'd much rather live in Califronia than the redneck bible belt.

California has some very nice places and much better qualtiy just in general. This comes from someone who has spent a decade in each state and loved in 10+ states. The south is the worst in my opinion, and statistically speaking if you care about health, racial tension, stigmas and aggression. The people who tend to love it the most love it out of loyalty and ignorance (been here their whole lives and don't know any better type responses).

Of corse NC isn't the worst state and is the best if you have to live in the south. Although only two states I've lived in I thought were worse, Alabama and South Carolina.

There is my rant.

If you despise southerners and North Carolinians so much, perhaps you should go find another forum to post on. I'm sure you can find more cultured, scholarly, folks like yourself elsewhere. We'd hate to burden you with our pride and inferior customs.
