Is Charlotte ever going to get the chance to host a Super Bowl

Charlotte is bigger than Raleigh, but I like Raleigh better like most people, it's the universities that's in, and surrounding the area that make it a more diverse city. Charlotte is o.k. but it is kind of bland but I do love the Panthers, because remember it's the CAROLINA PANTHERS not the Charlotte Panthers, ya'll better recognize......

Based on the US Census bureau, Charlotte is more diverse

Based on the US Census bureau, Charlotte is more diverse

well it is bigger. so I would expect that to be true...

and to the person saying Raleigh needs more than 10 years to get to Charlotte's size... In 10 years it'll be close to the size you are now. Raleigh is only half the size of Charlotte. (not exact, but close) Raleigh = 350,000 people while Charlotte has 600,000.. In 10 years at a growth rate of 4%, you are now close to Charlottes size now...

So, in 10 years, it is perfectly feasible to house a franchise in Raleigh.

This wasn't even about Charlotte -vs- Raleigh... It's about saying Raleigh couldn't house one in upcoming years is a ridiculous statement. I believe Raleigh would be an excellent place to have a franchise. However, I doubt it'll happen due to other reasons...

Wont happen... The Panthers will be the only franchise in NC for many years to come. The only reason some states have multiple teams is due to huge population within those states. (ex: Florida, Texas, NY). NC population is average at best and just good enough for one team. Raleigh chances of getting a team any time soon almost equal to 0. Columbia, SC has higher chance of getting a team than Raleigh.

yep, which is why I said I doubt it would happen.. . however, I disagree that population would be the reason why. As I stated above, in 10 years it will be very possible that Raleigh will be the size of Charlotte as it is now.. So, population isn't the reason.

It would have to do with: will the NFL allow another franchise, is there someone who would pick up the ownership and lobby for it, and will the fans rally around a new team since there is one already located in Charlotte...

I think the latter would be the bigger issue, affecting the first 2..
