Windy on Sunday...

I don't think fans at the game know any better, so I can't get too angry. It is odd though how many fans who show up at BOA and don't know much about football. Last season I was at a game and the opposing team kicked off, the ball sailed into the endzone, and our KR caught it and took a knee. A Panther fan leaned over to me and said "uh-oh they just scored 2 points didn't they? He's down in the endzone." He was being serious. I went into the rules about why they didn't score two points, and the guys eyes glazed over as though he wasn't actually listening. I have dozens of these kinds of stories.

The fans are especially clueless in the club seat section and they look at you like you have 3 heads if you yell and make noise!

I don't loathe the team I loathe the fan base

True,it's a culture that frowns on 12th man behaviour(sp),half of the crowd are confused where they are at(golf, social event like steeple chase),45% are opposing fans and 5% are true diehard Panther fans who are in danger of being kicked out of the game for making noise!

If you have ever been to seattle then you know why their fanbase is like that....that city is full of nutcases or as i like to say, batshit crazy people. Charlotte and surrounding areas have a much diff attitude/fanbase in general. Seattle has been through lots of heartbreak and winless seasons to warrant such a rabid fanbase. We're young, we will grow and get louder. I hope.

Heck, the Seattle Soccer fans make us looke like n00bs.

I sit in one of the worst sections but this year a couple of guys are showing up in helmets and conducting the crowd. And telling opposing fans to shut the **** up. It's awesome.
