There are but 2 instances I occasionally deal with in my life where my size becomes a hindrance- flying and buying a car. At 6'6" I wish I could own something besides a Tahoe (although I love mine) and I wish I didn't have to pay for premium airline seating just so I can put my legs somewhere.

But you're right, one of my dogs wouldn't fit in any one of these midget tin can wannabe station wagons. C'mon, I had Matchbox cars when I was a kid that were bigger than these things.

If you routinely carry bulk and don't want to drive a Chrysler Mini-van, then I think they are the way to go. More stylish (bearly) than a Chrysler, at least the HHR is. IMO

Better gas mileage then driving a SUV, Mini van or full sized van.

And past Subaru, Merc & BMW, are station wagons still made?

What do I know. I drive a full sized Ford Van! Sucks gas like there's no tomorrow! Thinking about having the interior redone in "Baby Seal Leather"!

I kinda dig the HHR when it has the SS trim. I don't see ever having something other than a truck though.

I was given an HHR by the company car rental when traveling once. Giant, festering POS.
