...what is the difference between cam newton, vince young, and michael vick?

i have yet to see what cam newton is doing that is going to revolutionize the game.

now if he ever grasps the mental side of the game like manning, brady, brees, and rogers...couple that with his physical abilities and then i can understand him being once in a lifetime player.

but i don't see him progressing in that direction.

he looks like nothing more than a stat collecting machine.

That is easy. Vick is built like a WR....Young built like you or me. Newton? Newton is a genetic physical freak built like a tank with agility....he is a physical mismatch the league has NEVER been presented with.....

And all those QBs you mentioned didn't grasp the mental aspect 20 games into a career....many where still bench warmers or works in progress. People want Cam to have this game figured out to the degree a current elite 10 yr vet does....which is comical.

Until we start to win, we will continue to be looked down upon. Right or wrong, most of the blame will be on Cam. He can't win the game himself? He can't win consistently? He still can't...? Anything.

When we learn to win, Cam will still be lambasted by folks who just don't like him. They'll grasp any flaw, or misstep. Whether real or imagined, they WILL find some reason to bash Cam. It will never stop, it is going to be around his entire career.

It is just another aspect of the Cam effect. Most folks just love the kid. Others never will fully except him.

His ceiling is as high as any QB ever. If he fulfills he potential. He very well could set the standards all over again. And man, am I glad I am right in the middle of it.

I love other fans trying to diss on a second year QB trying to reinvent his position. Jealousy is such a cruel mistress.

It will happen. We will learn to win. We will be considered elite. And it all starts with a QB not everyone is enamored with.

I waited almost my entire life for the Lions to get a Franchise QB. He has finally shown up. It only took the Panthers 17 years to get a QB most fans would die to have.
