People thinking Rivera will be fired if we don't make the playoffs this season aren't thinking at all. Most pundits didn't have us pegged for the playoffs - improvement, sure, but still a year away. Rivera will get the chance to finish out his contract. I too have been puzzled by some of his clock management and coaching decisions, but you have to remember, just like Cam is growing into a better QB, Rivera will need time to grow into a better HC.

only way i see him let go after this season is if we continue to lose and the team no longer plays their asses off for him, which i don't see happening at all. i see us winning a few game and probably get to 4-4 at the midway point.

Either decision could've been seen as the right or wrong decision. If we punted and our defense wasn't total sh*t, people would see it as the right decision. If we went for it, failed, and they scored, people would see it as the wrong decision.
