I dont get how you dont pick that ball off

I mean seriously as a S its your job to read the field and you should be back anyway cause of the situation. All Ryan did was just toss it up

I dont get it

Haruki Nakamura:

5'10 / 4.59 / 34.5" vertical jump. First year not being a backup with little game experience.

Roddy White:

6'0 / 4.47 / 41" vertical jump. Long time starter and generally very good receiver

That's how you fail to intercept the pass. He was physically outmatched and made the mistake of playing the ball and not the receiver. He should have played to knock the ball down - he stood a chance of doing that. He wasn't going to pick that off the way he played it.

Look at the pic if you were Naka who do you help, Norman or Beas?

don't get me wrong horrible call by mcderp but i'm only arguing the fact that even with that atrocious coverage call he was still in position to make a play.....even on the roddy td he was in position he just look like a Hs freshman and broke down fundamentals wise. He was out of position on the Julio Catch as well and probably alot more, if him or martin is not the answer they need to make adjustments fast to get this season back on track.

only thing i argue is that although physical outmatch roddy didn't even jump to catch that last pass he totally wiff that one like you stated and like you also stated play the ball horrible in the air if he plays the ball like he suppose to were not even having this discussion.

Naka is 5'10 and as slow as my grandmother plus he jumps like a white boy. McTurd had us in a ridiculous defensive scheme where gamble is covering a mediocre receiver, Beason is covering JJones and Naka ends up with RWhite. That defense was doomed from the start. Naka does not even have the physical attributes to be playing saftey

but with 59 seconds and no TO, anybody who knows football should expect a deep ball on 1st down. sudden change, most teams who are desperate will go deep on that 1st play. McD should have known this and called a defense according to protect the deep ball.

I don't know, not unreasonable to do what they did AFTER the Hail Mary before it. Get some breathing room......for the Hail Mary

The guy cant jump. The question is why the hell did Hurney not dig in his wallet and get us someone capable of playing the position.....and while he is digging get us a DC that is worth a poop

We have a rookie cb 5th rd pick from a division 2 school that missed preseason out there playing is another loss waiting to happen. This is crazy.

I have enough info, I have the film of the last play and Norman trailed White the whole way by 5-7 yards. There was nobody else in Norman's zone to guard, it was a 2 man route. What most of you fail to realize is Jones was wide open too, he got by Beas and Godfrey was way too late getting to that side of the field.

You have to acknowledge the type throw it takes from Ryan to get the ball there.....Nakamura just has to keep everything in front of him. All Ryan can do is lob a floater......they weren't as open as if Newton was playing QB.

Only think that matters is keeping all the action in front of you.....only way Ryan can get the ball there is a high floater. Which allows a S to be able to pretty much get to anything pending he didn't let people behind him

We just keep going around in circles, yes Naka should have kept the WR in front of him but like I have said he is not the only one that F'd up. I showed you pics of Gamble playing the line of scrimmage while Beason is guarding Jones and Norman is guarding White. I also showed you pics of Godfrey coming in late to try and help Beason with Jones. Naka was kind of caught up with who to help since both White and Jones were both behind the guys guarding them. A lot of F ups from secondary all the way up to the coaches. Yes Naka is partly to blame, no doubt and I never said he wasn't.

gamble wasn't being asked to cover

and you again are confusing man and zone looks. Beason wasn't asked to man cover Jones.

Play call was what it was....debating you wanted a different look is fine. Nakamara is the one who screwed up what was called. Wasn't an ideal play call based in what Atl ended up running.....but was certainly good enough

I'm not sure anyone is arguing that the play call was silly. But your assertion that somehow Gamble / Beason / Norman / whoever should have ignored the called play and run to Roddy White of their own accord or are somehow at fault for not being where Nakamura was is simply wrong. As far as any of us know all of these players (except Nakamura who should have kept the play in front of him) did exactly what the play called for.

Fault lies with Nakamura for playing the pass poorly and with the defensive playcall for being a little odd. Not with any of the other players who you seem to think should have been somewhere else.
