Nakamura starting this week

Not if he has average NFL S play....

And I still think you fail to realize what all Norman was suppose to be covering....

Norman protected the sideline son they could get the relatively quick hitter and get out.....he didn't have S play over the top where it was suppose to be. Norman did his job. You seem to be confusing man and zone looks....and what occurs

Rivera bluntly addresses it post game. Nakamura had a simple assignment and blew it. And despite blowing it still should of broken it up.

So in your mind Norman is just supposed to guard nobody in "his" zone while one of the best receivers in the league is guarded by just a safety? IF that is the case then our coaches should be on the hot seat.

You seem to think that I am absolving Naka of all blame and I am far from that, he screwed up. I am simply trying to show you that he wasn't the only one who did so, if you believe Norman was supposed to just give that big of a cushion to White then the coaches are to blame. It was a horrible defensive scheme to call in that situation.

Again, you fail to acknowledge what Norman is covering and responsible for bc Atl didn't try it.....Norman can't mind read that Atl wasn't trying to gain yards while getting out of bounds and abandon his job. He wasn't suppose to just glue on White and streak downfield (which is what you ultimately claim).

And a Matty Ice sky lob is something a NFL S should be able to defend....with the WR in front of him.

Norman wasn't matching up in a pure man look.....once they ran past his zone he then followed it up field to aid Nakamura but he didn't do his job

he supposed to get depth which he did, and make that throw hard because the safety supposed to be over top. again why we were in this coverage with 59 seconds to go is just retarded.

I assume they though Atl would attempt to get out of the endzone prior to taking an all for nothing Hail Mary on the first snap.....

but with 59 seconds and no TO, anybody who knows football should expect a deep ball on 1st down. sudden change, most teams who are desperate will go deep on that 1st play. McD should have known this and called a defense according to protect the deep ball.

See and I don't think he got enough depth, White had run by him at the 15 and was trying to catch up the whole way. I also think Naka was caught in between on who to guard since Godfrey was late getting over and Jones had beaten Beas so badly. I agree cover 2 there didn't make sense and the secondary didn't help either.

I couldn't agree more and ATL had the perfect play call for our scheme.

Without seeing the play we ran drawn up you don't have enough information to make the assertion that he didn't get enough depth. He had a zone - when he got to a certain depth he released to the S and continued to cover his zone.

The mistake as far as I could tell was Nakamura's alone.

Confusing play call - bad mistake by Nakamura that still shouldn't have resulted in the pass being completed - but we don't have enough information to blame Norman for the catch.

bottom line is naka made a horrible play back pedaling for 20 yards are you kidding me? when i did that in HS i had laps to run and i mean like 5......and even then he still could have made a play on the ball but just completely failed......he needs to be benched there's no reason i can see keeping him in,every tackle he so call makes he's getting toss around like a wet noodle

I have enough info, I have the film of the last play and Norman trailed White the whole way by 5-7 yards. There was nobody else in Norman's zone to guard, it was a 2 man route. What most of you fail to realize is Jones was wide open too, he got by Beas and Godfrey was way too late getting to that side of the field.

Look at the pic if you were Naka who do you help, Norman or Beas?
