a buddy of mine was an elite high school quarterback and used to go to a lot of the same qb camps in which Clausen attended nation wide. He told me that Clausen was always the best qb wherever he went, and evidently Jimmy's parents paid high dollar for multiple qb coaches throughout his childhood and throughout his time at notre dame.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jimmy never takes another snap in the nfl, but I also wouldn't be surprised if he went on to play a Chris Weinke role for coaching up and coming quarterbacks. Like Weinke, he knows the postion well, he just can't execute the position.

all said and done, the jimster won't be on the squad next year but I bet he has a decent career as a qb coach.

Noway in hell wed get a 3rd from anyone. That said I know Wiess was the OC at one time. Do they still run the same system? Maybe a 7th...but I doubt anyone will trade for him. We'll let him walk next year.
