The Roster

brayton has a lot more experience and is very good vs. the run. he isn't a liability so i'm thinking that he most likely will be starting. i don't care who it is that starts but the way i see it brayton most likely will be the starter unless johnson or brown really show him up in TC. short of that happening it is brayton's to lose.

as far as keeping 5 at DE...yes. depth on the DL was a huge issue for us last year. one of brayton's biggest assets is that he can fill in at DT or DE as needed so it's almost like having the DT go 6 deep. the Dline needs to be as stacked or moreso than the Oline considering the offenses that we have to face. i would prefer us having 10 on Oline and on the Dline. i think, though that whoever our LS is will have to fill in at center if needed making him the 10th member of the Oline.

i agree with you for the most part..but rem that johnson got in as a DT too..soo i dont think he has a prob with run..from what i saw of johnson last year he did well with the run and better with the pass than brayton..but i just dont see taylor makeing the roster..if peppers stays..

i still don't think that we go with fewer than 9 on the DL and would be surprised if we didn't have 10 given the depth problems we had last year and who we are facing this year.

taylor should make the 53 whether pep is here or not. he could thrive in meeks D. if pep is gone, we add another DT like harvey. i think we have significant depth in other areas if we were to keep 5 DEs and 10 overall on the DL.

I always hear that Brayton can fill in as a situational/emergency DT. Has he ever done this before, has he succeed in doing so (For the Panthers, Oakland doesn't count)? Or, is this just an abitrary judgement based on his height/weight?

or... and I wouldn't mind it just for comfort sake, adding Robertson to the roster.

he has done it here and i don't know why oakland doesn't count....he was there for 6 of his 7 years and that is what he played for most of his time there (along with DE and OLB).
