I was expecting a 50 point blowout....

Recommended Posts

So after that turd of a Thursday night game, I was expecting to be flat out disgusted by the team today. I figured Gonzalez was going to have a career day, I was fairly certain that Turner would have more rushing yards than we would have offensive yards, and I would have laid money down on Matt Ryan setting a new career high for touchdowns. This was one of the best offenses in the NFL going up against a laughing stock defense on their turf. I was expecting nothing but pure ugly.

Bitching and moaning about one fumble, one not going for it on fourth and one, one horribly blown coverage, or one inopportune pass interference call, or the fact that that all happened in a row is fun and all, but I'm gonna chose to be happy about the improvement I see from last week to this week and hope it continues. I hate seeing the Panthers lose, especially to division rival, but I hate seeing them get embarrassed more. Given the choice, I'll take a competitive loss over an utter failure any day of the week.

....now they just have to keep it up...

First paragraph = just plain shameful.

Second paragraph = agreed, but it's hard to be patient. I know we've got the talent, but we should be ready for it to equal Ws now. Last season was the rebuilding season... this should be the playoff season. There's still time, but we can't wait until 2013 to figure out how to win. We need to figure out how to win now.
