I thought it was too much time until I saw we downed it on the 1. But then that 1st play happened and then I knew we had lost.

before the booth review i was leaning towards going for it and just letting cam jump over the line and i didn't see them stopping that. but they moved the ball back a yard, we had to punt. i thought our defense would come through

I actually was thinking the same thing - Cam jumping over the line for a yard... Who knows, but I would've taken that chance over just outright giving them the ball back.

I would've preferred to go back in the full house and either run Cam up the middle/over the top, or run the option, most likely with Cam keeping it.

Not the way we were running the ball. Our short yardage runs were being stuffed all day.

We could spread out 5 wide and toss a flanker screen if its there or run Cam or Stewart, there are things that can be done to clear out the middle of a defense.

Our coaches are just too stupid to realize this.

NE has historically had a field day with short yardage runs going 5 wide.

So does Mike Smith, who continued to own us today and went for it on 4th and 1 last year in an even more dire situation (on their own side of the field IIRC) and still made the playoffs.

Shocking to me that 7/10 believed that Atlanta was going to take the ball from deep in their field(20yd line at worst most likely)and kick a game winner with 44 seconds and no time outs. The odds greatly favor defense in that situation no matter who is playing.
