Saw what Newton was made of today

I told you guys last season..Stop begging for your QB to be perfect and demand your team to step up and play more like a winning team. You can have all the confidence in the world but if you're not playing like every game counts and you're much better than you opponent, you will not win. Coaches win games because they are the final decision makers. Yet all of last season and even this season, you folks continue the media's mantra of every Panther's lost is Cam's fault. It's like all they seem to care about is Smitty getting his running #s and looking for ways to justify their nonstop harrassing of your QB.

This game, like the first one, was yours to win. This team has got to stop finding way to beat itself in such close games. This team does not close out games with confidence.

In the end, if your team keeps playing like this, you will be QB hunting next draft season because the media will make sure of it.

Fourth and less than 1 game on the line... 6'5 250 pound Qb... And you pussy out.

It was at least a full yard after they moved it back. When it was on the fourth and six inch line I said you go for it no doubt, and it truly looked like Rivera would have. When they moved it back everything changed.

It was on their on 20 yard line too.

Truth is Rivera has 0 balls and is a moron.

Did you say that we would stop them if we punted? Because I KNEW we were going to lose when we punted it, and said so in the chat.

Some people just know their team, sorry you don't.

You didn't know anything, you assumed and shitty coverage on what should have been a prevent play made you right. There's a big difference in that and KNOWNG we were going to lose. I'm sure you also said Nakamura would give up a 60 yard completion on first down to Roddy White since you KNEW what was going to happen....

Exactly that fumble was recovered by the panthers its the same as if we didn't convert the 3rd down and pick up the 1st and had to punt it. If ATL had picked up the fumble I would understand people's gripe about the fumble but they didn't. As said time and time again if cam doesn't play perfect, no ints, no fumbles we don't w

That is not a good team or a decent team.

wow...ur so insightful ahole...

A field goal would have done it for this team because the other team would then need a TD to win. You folks seem to build this team around your QB in the worst way instead of demand the team as a whole to step up. You put so much pressure on your QB to win every game for you. While the rest of your team show up when they feel like it.

As usual, the opposing team play like a team wanting to win. While the Panthers play like a team hoping to win.

I said I knew we were going to lose, not how that was to come about. poo this team can formulate all sorts of creative ways to lose football games.

Still makes it true.

Lots of problems and near misses throughout the game. Tolbert dropped a couple of potential big gainers, Josh Norman had a very MIXED BAG of results today, Beason is currently a dismal shell of his prior self and Nakamura was woefully bad today. But know he was signed after being nothing more than a solid backup to Reed in B'more. Having said that, we had a number of 1st and 2nd year players that demonstrated they deserve seriously more field time. The move to expand Pilares, Captain, Armanti and Alexander's role produced quite a number of impact plays by each of them. So, if you pick up the Observer in the coming days and see that Nakamura has been released and Norman benched it could easily be understood. But, maybe it is just the coach in me but when you have command of possession and the lead, you close out the game. The Panthers entire backfield are millionaires (Cam, Jonathan, DeAngelo and Mike). So I expect them to be difference makers! Today the defense bent a number of times and even flirted with danger before they ultimately caved. Now, if I am Rivera, Chud and especially Rivera, there is no way in hell that the cats give an ounce of oxygen to the Birds with control of the ball and the birds out of timeouts. Cam left it on the ground! You learn in friggin pee wee ball to cover the ball with both hands, especially in most crucial of situations. He was stripped (no shock that the falcons would attempt to strip him, it was their last chance). They were successful with the strip. And had they recovered the fumble right there the same results were staring at the defense. My point is Cam, you had the frigging game won and you are the franchise QB. CLOSE IT OUT! Do not leave the outcome in the hands of anyone else. I am amazed at Cam's talent but as an old FB guy, we allowed the subsequent events to bite us in the duff. Falcons were dead to rights! We gave them life. Cam's talent is undeniable but aside from college I see nothing to suggest he has mastered WINNING 101 at least in the NFL.

Name one QB who this kind of BS is being asked of? Not even the chosen QBs is demanded to be as perfect as you folks and the media is expecting of Cam. Yet, those who are putting so much unrealistic pressure on Cam, are endlessly praised the chosen QBs while sreaming at teams to step up their games so they can HELP them win. And these are the QBs who are endlessly praised as being NFL ready and some even HOF before they even throw a ball. But it's only Cam perfection that will give this team wins. Not the better defense, O-line and coaching...GTFOH

Way to much ESPN and NFLN feeding for you.
