Saw what Newton was made of today

With it all on the line, all the pressure in the world he pushed his chips to the middle. Dude showed up. A lot of people should eat a poo sandwich talking about our QB like that.

That's what made me sick about today. Cam had them. Had them beat. But a QB in this league cannot become a great with a sad sack coaching staff and makeshift D. It takes a lot for the stars to align.

The kid played unreal. Just a shame. This was Cleveland Browns style of loser

People are quick to forget that he fumbled when he had the 1st down to seal the game against the back of his own player.

The panthers still got the ball back, there are no guarantees that another quarterback would have gotten the first down. Rivera should of went for the first down plain and simple.

It's absolutely mind boggling to me that we did not go for it on 4th with some combo of Cam, Stew, and/or Tolbert.

Just mind blowing.

Cam can get a yard by bending over to tie his shoe. He did all he could today, but again, our coaching staff shined through with their genius and wasted it.

    • Film Room Playlist _ NFL Pro — Mozilla Firefox 2024-11-25 10-20-11.mp4 🎯🎯🎯 There were a couple of "fans" yesterday saying that this wasn't a helmet-to-helmet shot... 👀 Looks like based on where Moore was and where the play ended, he'd have gotten maybe just a yard or two more. Chuba was downed at the KC 16 and Moore was on his way back to the QB, so the offense got what they could for the most part. After reviewing the all-22, Bryce made the right call here. Tremble was the hot and KC sent both LBs. He gets it out with a clear pocket but it's quickly collapsing. If there was a little more time it looked like AT came free at the end but whether or not Bryce would've been upright still is another story. Smart move to get the completion and keep the field goal in play to stay alive. George Karlaftis is about to get himself a big ole hug and Bryce heaves it to where David Moore is going. Trent McDuffie slipped just a step or two before this shot, but we can see the clear DPI here as he's wrapped around David Moore before knocking him over as the ball gets there.
    • I’m taking a TE early day 3 Ian Thomas and Tremble are FA.  We should have no desire to bring them back.   There’s more than enough film of ball bouncing off their hands or facemask.
    • Daniel Jones sometimes would sling it for 300 or 400 yards.  That's my stance.  We know what Bryce is.  If you consistently play any QB at this level, they largely are going to end up w/ some good days/games.  last time Mahomes was at BOA, Teddy Bridgwater threw for 300+ yards and a couple TDs and the Matt Rhule Panthers almost took him down.  We know what Bryce is.  Now we got people predictably falling into a predictable trap.
