McDermott should be fired

99% of the time and with almost any other defense we've had in our history as a franchise (except last year's lol), I'm with you. I just had that feeling that we wouldn't hold up if they got it back so we had to make a statement and TAKE the game right there. Not give it back to them and see what they do with it. Oh well, what's done is done.

But to your point, once we did punt, it is almost unfathomable that they would do what they did from the 1-yard line. Especially on the first play. To match personnel with them there knowing the run isn't an option... SMH...

I like your signature: New coach, same approach. This leads me to believe that it's not the coaching staff but higher up.

I've actually wondered about that as well. Even considered making a "Is JR another Al Davis?" type thread... I think I refrained because wondering down that avenue is just too depressing when thinking of all of the talent wasted over the years and misplaced blame. I hope he isn't meddling in our on-field decisions, but when you look at our history and his staunch opposition to changes, it's starting to become a topic worth discussing at the least.

I don't know if this has been said already, but the best defensive play I've seen today, was made by the sidelines. Man, yall saw how the sidelines took Julio Jones out? If it weren't for that play, Julio would have scored.

They need to pay me to be defensive coordinator for this team. I can call better coverages in my sleep, and I definitely wouldn't be subbing in Munnerlyn for Kuechly 50% of the time.

You guys know what, we've spent all our time blaming McDermott. Yet I remember when Rivera first spoke with the media about finding coordinators and the rest of the coaching staff, he pretty much stated that he would be over the defensive side of the ball. That whoever would become the coordinator, they would follow his style of play. (Obvisously these aren't direct quotes, but it was something to that nature) So this defense is more an indictment against Rivera, than it is McDermott.

You are an idiot if you go for it there. Trust your D. He did. Too bad McDerp is the worst in the league.

Dude how can you say it's dumb to go for it there? it comes down to who do you trust, our top 10 offense or our bottom of the league defense. When the game is on the line you ALWAYS play to your strengths, and putting it on the PANTHERS defense is just a really terrible call in that situation. RR you're on watch tighten up the ship or don't count on you having a job with the Panthers next year.

Nakamura Just made a bad play point blank... Can't blame the HC or DC was just a bad play by the S whos only job on that play is to not let the man get behind him, and guess what? He did.

Not the HC, DC, or GM(seems people blame him so much) was just all on the Saftey on that one...
