How are you supposed to play defense?

CJ did facemask, but still.....how are you supposed to play any D when you're not allowed to hit a receiver when he catches the ball, or hit the QB? All a receiver has to do is catch the ball and immediately get low and it's instant penalty.

They should really modify this rule. If the receiver's head is at or under the defender's chest level it shouldn't be called.

Helmet to helmet call was borderline...he did hit helmet to helmet but didn't look bad and wasn't intentional. As for the face mask...well you can't get more obvious than what Johnson did...should have been called.

CJ def was a face mask. I'm just saying if a receiver catches the ball and gets low it's like a batter shrinking the strike zone. Shouldn't be called if the defender doesn't really have a choice and doesn't launch at the head.

How about quit playing prevent defense when your opponent is on your 45 yard line with no timeouts and under a minute left and the clock is running. Defend the sideline instead of letting them waltz their way into an easy field goal. They still had a chance to win when Roddy caught that pass, but instead they gave up and determined they were defeated as soon as he caught that pass.

Its like both sides of the ball has had no training in the 2 minute offense/defense. Absolutely pathetic during both ends of the half
