The contract still isn't too bad through 2013, but beyond that, it's ridiculous. Even if Godfrey said he would play without salary the last 2 years of the deal, he still would make the same over the 5 year contract as Thomas DeCoud (same age, same draft class, same round drafted, extended the same year). I think we can all agree that DeCoud is a much better player than Godfrey.
