CRA's prediction - week 4

Forget Cam for a moment, how can any of you have confidence in a victory given the way our defense has played?

And please don't pull out the Saints game as an example of a good defensive performance. Graham dropped a couple of key passes, including one that would have been a TD. Their 4th receiver (can't remember his name, but he's the little white guy with the funny TD dance) also dropped a sure TD.

I'll pick the Panthers again once the D shows me something on the field, not before.

Well, I also think there is some serious overreaction....look at the Packers, Giants, Cards and a host of other teams that have made Superbowl appearances in recent years.....no one would have guessed it 3 weeks in. I don't want Carolina playing its best football early....there is still time to right the ship.

Hope your right...there is tons of time left but theyll need to do a complete 180 because that win against new Orleans isn't looking that impressive at all.

Did you not watch last season? Pretty sure we were in every game but 2 last year and our defense was utter dog poo.

Saints game was an example of last year. O just has to get rolling....D just needs to make a couple plays....not be impressive. They weren't impressive week 2 against the Saints. 2-3 plays ain't too much to expect or ask of from the D. Also, we don't need great ST play.......just no blocked kicks, TD returns and fumbled returns.

We are an offensive team. Stewart back + a media trashed Cam = offense

Matt Ryan to White

Matt Ryan to Jones

Matt Ryan to Gonzalez

Turner up the middle for 15

Turner takes it outside for 10

Turner up the middle for 8

Matt Ryan to Gonzalez

The Panthers D has to stop all that on Sunday.

Yeah, you can do the same with the Panther O....they have to stop that. If Carolina doesn't stop themselves....most teams will struggle with the task.

Don't put too much stock in the NYG game....just like you shouldn't of in the Tenn game last year.

Atl has played great thus far....unrealistic to think that continues all season. Doesn't happen in reality often in the NFL. 1-2 teams do that start to finish each year.

giants defense was poo for most of the season last year.

the pats D? forget about it.

the packers when they won it all? wasn't the D.

quite a few teams have made it into and through the playoffs with bad defenses and good offenses. just like some have done just as well with bad offenses but good defenses...but that is becoming rare.

all you really need is for one phase of your team to be hitting it at just the right time and usually the teams that are ripping it up early in the season peter out late, meanwhile teams that will go far in the playoffs will much of the time struggle early on.

hopefully our D can at least get to the point that they aren't sucking and can be respectable. i think the offense is close to getting it's groove back and when it does then we will be pushing for a playoff spot...unless it takes too long and we've dug a hole too deep (which we haven't yet.)

there's still time.

Veteran QB's like both Mannings, Brees, or Brady may not need a great D to get to the playoffs. But a lousy D with a very young QB, no matter how talented, is likely not going to be successful.

Young QB's typically try to force things too much when playing from behind. They may get away with it from time to time, but not on a consistent basis.

Not likely to a Superbowl contender.....but all Cam needed last year was two to three plays a game from a D/ST (or them not making a huge blunder) and they would have been playoff bound.

Carolina has enough offense.....D doesn't need to stop people and be good. Just give the O something to work with.

In our losses this year....how many times has ST goofed? How many turnovers has our D made.....they just need to help, nothing more. If they do that, we will win more than we lose. Offense will show up more than not just like last year

I am being realistic by saying that I see absolutely no way we win. I just hope to put up a respectable well played game against them. Cam and everybody on the team will just have to dominate in every aspect, the play calling has to be perfect and has to be executed perfectly. I'm not getting my hopes up that's for sure.

Then realistically.....you don't follow the NFL enough.

Atl beat a bad KC team, a broken down Peyton who almost came back....and a SD team that shot themselves in the foot.

Atl is a good team. Nothing like this great team being pimped. If you think they are going to average almost 4 turnovers a game....that just isn't realistic.
