I promise to support and love Cam so long as he plays for the team and him doing so is the best option for the team.

Point being, no matter how talented or how much a player has done for a team, there comes a point where their play begins to hold a team back and/or they can no longer play at a high level, or they fail to reach an acceptable ceiling of production. It is at this point that a team MUST part ways with a player. It is also at these times when you find out if fans are more fans of a team or a player. For example, Jake HAD to be cut from the Panthers so that they could move forward. Similarly Farve HAD to be cut from the the Packers. This happens all the time with every team.

This does not mean that I expect Cam to fizzle out, or to become detrimental to team success at any point in the near future. Presently Cam IS our future and the ceiling is limitless. I love the man, and I support him to the fullest. However, when the time comes I am a Panther fan before I am a Cam fan.

I have absolutely no issues with the guy, I have second hand knowledge that he is a very nice and genuine person....but I admit that I let some of these fan boys influence my opinion of him and that is not fair.

Thats not what you said yesterday. You said he rubbed you the wrong way when he called himself an "entertainer and icon" well over a year ago. Even made a point to bring it up. And claimed he said "he would redefine the position of QB", when Cam never said such thing. You might not have issues with Cam per say, but as I predicted before we drafted him, you're having a tough time dealing with how much glory he receives.
