Break down of " It is what it is"

After a lot of research dating back to 2002 I discovered the true meaning of the saying "it is what is!" First off its a short way of saying a lot without saying much, which saves time for studying film and being ready for the next opponent. The saying could mean such things as " We are inconsistent" "We are learning" We are a young team" "We saw some good things as well as bad" "When you put the tape on "X" player he stands out "We are getting better as a team." The list goes on and on but after all my research I think id rather hear "It is what it is!" We still hear the same thing every week but now its long and drawn out!
