I don't think it is that this list is that off. D-Will is better than McFadden, Drew, Forte, and MAYBE Lynch. D-Will is not the best RB in the league, really he may not be top 5.

The top 5 is pretty accurate, maybe not Jackson at 2, but he is top 5. I am shocked that Gore is at 5, I think he is the the second best behind AP.

i really dont think ap is all that good and this is why.didnt he fumble 4 times in 1 game.maybe it was against the falcons or bucs.enough said DWILL= 1 RB in NFL.

Yeah, it was against the Falcons, and Peterson's turnovers killed about 3 good Viking drives in that game.

I remember that one well, because I wanted the Vikings to win so that Carolina would have a little more breathing room in the South for the last few games of the season.

If we are talking about fantasy here then I'd say that he might be a little low but overall I would agree with their assessment. Stewart is going to steal more carries again this year and a lot of them could be on the goal line. I'd still pencil Deangelo in for 1400 and 10-15 but not quite the production he had last year. I think they will both be 1000 yard backs..

Peterson had 2 fumbles in that game, one of them lost. You're thinking of Travaris Jackson.

Well, I don't call having 2 fumbles in a game a good thing either. Bottom line is that AP fumbles alot.

Never said that it was a good thing - just pointing out that Peterson's fumbles did not result in 3 drives being killed, Travaris was the reason.

this would still put him in the top 5 easily. that isn't agreeing with their assessment.

stewart might get a couple more carries per game but williams would still be getting over 15. our Oline + hoover + williams stiff arm = williams still getting the majority of opportunities. he showed himself to be no liability in goal line work either. no reason he should lose work there to williams. stewart isn't much bigger or stronger.

I dont know-- Um led the league in runs over 20 yards

williams has never led the league in runs over 20 yards

...broke the single rush record

i assume you're talking about the franchise rushing record for a single game. that happened just this past season.

that only backs up what i said.

carried the team on his back against atl in 06

i remember that game. foster rushed for 102 yards. williams 82. both foster and williams averaged less than 4 ypc and the longest run of the game was 11yards...by foster.

while it produced good highlight material, it wasn't exactly an effort to be proud of...he didn't carry the team on his back.

stewart isn't much bigger or stronger.

i'm 5' 10" 200lbs.

williams is 5' 9" 217lbs.

stewart is 5' 10" 235lbs.

at my height and build, 200lbs makes fairly stout. for me, gaining 5-10lbs makes a VERY noticeable difference.

another 17lbs, i'd be intimidating to most people.

another 35lbs?

can you say the incredible hulk?

you can't see it with pads on, but there's a big size difference between williams and stewart.

the only thing I can think of is that the success of stewart minimizes the success of DeAngelo in their eyes, which is an interesting argument, but is debunked by Footballoutsiders which has DWill ranked number one in 2008.

I guess without Deshaun Foster there to soften up the defense Williams just isn't the back we thought he was.

That is total garbage. He got 1500+ yards sharing touches with Stewart. That is fuging bogus as hell.
