December 28th, 2008: Last time the Panthers were over .500 in the regular season

When are we going to get over .500? Next year? Coming off of the excitement of last year, this year is a huge disappointment. I like that we were competitive with atlanta in their house, but damn... at what point do the players stop believing in the coaching staff and pull what the bucs did last year with their HC?

Oh... and we need a damn FS. :(

yup.... next year. it's the panther motto

New update: Soonest possible date we can go over .500 is if we win our next 3 games. Factoring in the bye week, that would be October 28, 2012. That would be exactly 1,400 days. Also of note: If the Rams win against the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football, we will have the current longest non-winning record streak in the league.

Depressing.

The worst part of losing is that it makes future games less exciting. I just grabbed some extra tickets so I can take my youngest to the seahawks game and I was getting excited at the prospect of 2-2 with a chance to actually take the lead in the NFC south.

Now it's just not as fun. Crowd will be that much smaller.

my 6 year old doesn't care though. Probably just wants some nachos.

In another thread, I mentioned the Huddle writing a letter (not a damn e-mail) to JR. Of course he knows his team isn't doing well, but at times I wonder if people are too scared to remind him of things like this. I'd love to write him a letter thanking him for bringing a team to the Carolinas, praise him as a business man (billion dollar company), then bring up the fact that we've never had back-to-back winning seasons, have failed as a team with only four winning seasons in 17 years, and now... the facts of this thread. I think it could go a long way toward him really making changes if he saw what he should know in writing.

Half his profits come from non-Panthers fans. Not sure how much he really cares.
