I realize what you're saying is true. But also realize that; Chud had great gameplans last season. Attacking downfield, and less read option dependency.

You're genius so long as it works.

Go back and watch the Bucs and the Giants defend it. Only difference is the Giants collapsed with the DEs and took Cam away and relied on the rest of the D to bring down the RB. The Bucs just sent everyone upfield regardless. They're taking Cam out of the play and it makes the option useless.

Again, the problem is Chud won't give it up. Even Rivera stupidly admitted today that basically we made no adjustments in the game Thursday. That is ridiculous. Even moreso when you consider that Chud approached the game believing the Giants couldn't stop the read option so he ran it into the ground.

I think Chud needs to scale the Option read back a bit. How about some I formation or screen plays?
