Didn't Rivera say that he had hired a "mind coach" in his interview yesterday?

Hiring a mind coach or therapist will just help him deal with the realities of maintaining a positive attitude and reframing negative situations into opportunities to learn and grow. As someone who is a" mind coach" professionally, If he hired one that is great. If he hasn't then he could use one as could any player. As for thinking it a waste, 50% of the game is mental, all players could use a therapist given the constant pressures of being under the spotlight and living your life under a microscope.

There's a little tidbit in his remarks that wasn't reported on but I thought was interesting. He said that he watched the Falcons/Chargers game, and when they asked what he took from it, he said that when McDermott and the defensive staff are gameplanning he would be able to pop in and tell them some things he saw.

That surprised and bugged me. Why is Rivera not working hand in hand with McDermott on the gameplanning? He should be in the room anyways, not popping in because he has some input this time.

Towards the end of it he said "That just the way it is" which is really no different than "It is, what it is"

Sounded to me like Ron will be watching certain players on Sunday, and if they haven't "learned"from their mistakes, then there could very well be changes...

He also said the team has a very good offense and defense "when we have a lead"....???????
