Dwan Edwards - Defensive MVP

Im glad to have Dwan but I think most of his sacks came in late quarters if I'm not wrong

Charles Johnson has clearly been the best defensive player. He hasn't came away with the sacks but he's made an impact rushing the passer for the 3rd year in a row despite little help. Dwan Edwards was no where to be seen with the interior rush vs the Giants.

I'm very happy with Dwan... but if he's our MVP, that speaks volumes about the rest of the D-line.

What does that say about our defense that we can bring in a guy that some other team didn't want and now he's the Defensive team MVP?

Not sure it's really an argument in Hurneys favor that a 30-something year old career rotational player with spine damage signed days before opening day is our best defender.

Im the DT's biggest critic, and I gave the Edwards signing props when it happened. It doesn't make up for being a poor GM though.

Its funny that some of you will do anything to put a negative spin on Hurney. I am remember a thread where you guys complained about our trash that had any degree of success some where else. He was not really considered trash their anyway just no longer a fit/cost more money than they wanted to spend.

He's 1 sack shy of matching the entire Giants D-line sack total. I realize that keeping Mcclain and allowing him to continue to suck would have been better for the Hurney hate agenda but why complain about one of the few bright spots the D actually has had so far? For the record I could care less if we fired Hurney tomorrow because I would have no choice but to hope they find someone better. Nor is it likely that anything Hurney or any other gm could do for this team until this season is over to improve us right now.
