For those of you who think lack of talent is a problem

**Who do you think the Giants defense has thats so talented outside of their defensive ends. Kenny Phillips is good but the rest of their D is not super good. Our offense should have been a huge matchup problem for the Giants. And many of you were very cocky about it going into the game..

Do you really think our D lacks so much talent that Andre Brown should have torched us for 5.7 ypc and 2 TD's? Or that Ramses Barden should have had 138 yards?

Eli threw 1 TD. Thats it. So blame our secondary all you want. But Keep in mind Josh Norman who everyone loves to hate all of the sudden only gave up 5 catches for 65 yards with only 14 coming after the catch and o TD'S once again.

All 3 of our corners collectively gave up 131 yards and Godfrey gave up 34 yards. Thats a grand total of 165 from our secondary against Eli Manning. And 1 passing TD(vs Godfrey). That 1 passing TD came on the first drive. A common problem for us this year and we seem to correct it later but that lends me to believe we have poor prepartion. SERIOUSLY WE HAVE GIVEN UP 3 PASSING TD'S ALL YEAR AND THEY ALL CAME ON OUR OPPONENTS FIRST OFFENSIVE DRIVE.

What if I told you that our common regular season opponents last year with the Giants scored more on the Giants than us last year.

Cardinals had 28 against us and 27 against the Giants

Packers had 30 against us and 38 against the Giants

Saints averaged 37.5 against us and 49 against the Giants

Skins got 20 against us and averaged 25 against the Giants.

Then of course this year Romo who was supposed to have a terrible o-line and get killed by them was only sacked twice and threw for 300 yards and 3 TD'S.In only 25 pass Freeman put up 2 td's against them and Martin rushed for another against them. They managed to put up 34 points and averaged the same yards per carry against the Giants as they did against us.

The Giants have a great rotation of pass rushing Defensive Ends and a good Strong safety. Outside of that their D is nothing special. As a matter of a fact they gave up more yards than us last year and nearly the same amount of points.

On offense they had the worst ranked offensive line in Football last year. They let their qb get sacked 42 times and hurried 250 more. For comparison Cam was sacked 32 times last year and hurried 153 times.

Even if we have the worst the D-line in football that should have been a wash. But what happened to Johnson the last 19 games, why has he declined, what would make that happen? We improved the help around him in every avenue and even have a guy who has provided more push up the middle than we have had in a long time. (Dwan was not taught this skill in his less than 1 week before perfoming for us).

We have 6 new starters on defense and from a talent and individual perspective they are doing better than what we fielded last year.

How many of you fantasy players would have started Andre Brown over Deangelo Williams on Thursday. Or Rames Barden over any of our Wideouts.

Our offense is stacked and their is no reason for us to only score 17 points vs 2 teams who have given up an average of 33 points a game going into todays game when not playing us.

The good news in all this if I am right, it can all be fixed because it's due to poor scheme and playcalling.

Summary and conclusion: Our secondary has given up 3 passing td's all year and they have all been in our opponents first offensive series. We have been out coached in every game this year. Our opponents are getting more turnovers than us in our losses. As far as Cam's picks go they are due to Chud putting him in a terrible position. They are also nickel and diming our softass schemes all the way down the field and either are kicking numerous field goals or punching it in with the run game once inside our 10. We are failing to sustain long enough drives to kick our own field goals or get inside our opponents 10 to punch it in with the run game in our losses. This shows that our schemes on offense and defense are burning us badly and costing us losses.

*bonus stat-We have given up 24 points on fields goals in our 2 losses. We have 0 points on field goals in our 2 losses. We let teams nickel and dime the poo out of us all the way down the field and we go for the kill and its feast(saints game) or famine (giants and Bucs) for us offensively.

**bonus stat number 2-we have not given up a td run of more than 1 yard all year.

***bonus stat #3 The biggest play we have given up is 33 yards in a loss. Eli's longest completetion was 29 yards. Andre Brown's lonest run was 31 yards. Josh Freeman's biggest pass play was 33 yards and Doug Martins longest run was 15 yards. We are so damn concerned with not giving up big plays, that we allow opponents to kill us with short chunks at a time, which also eats up time of possesion. Then on offense we don't have any sustaining drives because we are constantly going for the kill shot and its causing us to make mistakes.

Trying to pin individual stats on individual defenders is fuging retarded... It's a team sport, you play as a team, win or lose. Carolina, as a team, is not good, sure we have talented players, but so does every other team.

This board has a ton of homers who over hype even the most un-talented players, so, someone who only reads this board and knows nothing else, watches the games thinking these over hyped players are going to blow the game open for us, then when it doesn't happen they get mad.... Never fails

tl;dr

We don't lack talent. We lack a coaching staff/front office that wants to be a winning franchise.

Our weak ass fan base isn't very much of a motivator either.

Our secondary cant cover.....there stats look decent bc the past 2 weeks it also has been super easy to run on us as well.

As for your fantasy question....in fantasy terms it is a no brainer to pick a RB playing Carolina over one of our RBs.

I somewhat disagree with "the secondary can't cover" part. Give any average to above average QB 4-5 seconds or a clean pocket to step up into, and they'll pick most secondaries apart.

Completely agree with the "pick a RB playing Carolina over our RBs" in fantasy. RBs have been having career days on us for the past 2 seasons.
