Trade Talk?

Steve Smith is has been paid to beat the double team....and be highly productive.

CJ has been paid to beat the double teams and be highly productive.....he has not.

sure, but is there an easy way to equate the one with the other stat-wise?

if we equate sacks with touchdowns, smitty is on the same level with CJ so far this year. but the pretty stat doesn't always tell the whole story.

I don't care about stats....I have watched Peppers take over games in Chicago with no stats indicating such on the stat sheet.

Johnson is a good DE. He is paid to be more. He isn't like DeAngelo or Jake...can't.blur his contract as paying him also for what he has done here.

I agree u can't go off a stat sheet...but it his case that doesn't work

smh at the trade Beason talk...yea the Texans sure got the better end of trading Ryans away...he's having a very good year and proving it just takes a little time to get over that injury.

Texans finished with a top 5 D last year....currently #1 this year.

They saw no point sitting and waiting out the recovery of a risky option that night not ever get back to what he was....they opted instead of hoping for the best to just go out and make there D better.

Worked out great for Houston.

Beason could suck for years...before Carolina would address him.

Regardless of how good the rest of their defense is, they got a 4th round pick and moved up a little in the 3rd for a very good LB who is back to playing at his previous level. That's not a good deal. Sure, they had the room to afford them such a luxury, but we don't. And Ryans is no Beason. If Ryans got back to his usual level by the end of last year or even if it took until this year, I expect Beason to at least match that feat and no paltry 4th round pick, or even a 3rd round pick, would be worth losing Beason. Even at his current diminished state, he's worth more to us than a 3rd or 4th.

king charles has been the D's best player. he isn't putting up numbers because offenses are focusing on gameplanning him out. he should really have two sacks but...

a) drew brees somehow got the ball back/staid up when that fumble was forced

B) greg hardy pushed his dude into CJ right when he got a hand on eli

prob forgetting other moments too. looking at stats only is stupid. do you even watch the games? also, you are completely out of your fuging mind if you think any team is going to take his contract. dude is a panther for the long haul.

Assuming we lose next week, would it be time to start trade talks?

I personally believe if we lose the next 2, it would be that time to start trade talks. A competent GM would do this

And only a few is untouchable

i see a problem here
