Cam segment coming up on ESPN

Dammit FIAS, don't paint everyone here with the same brush, and stop acting as if those with concerns want to run Cam out of town. While I don't share their concerns (he will be fine) many of them want Cam to be our franchise QB for a long time too.

Well stop buying into every piece of BS that is being said about your QB.

If Cam has mental issues, he's on the perfect team because mental outbreak run amuck on this site.

Plus, I will be honest, everytime I see your team on TV I seriously wonder more about Smitty than I do Cam. He's always spitting angry at someone. I love my football players agressive but he's always seem ready to fight and does get into fights unnecessarily...Do you think it's fair that your rookie QB should be be screamed at by a grown man whose own behavior helped contribute to the team losing on Thursday? IMO, you're just as bad as Smitty because you're quick to want to hold Cam responsible for every damn mistake he makes but you don't do the same to your Captain..

IMO, Cam just seem like he's placed under way to much pressure to perform for a team that seems extremely undiscipline. Don't understand why you folks would interprete that kind of pressure as healthy or needing to teach him to man up.

Every other team take care of their QB but this one. You folks throw them to the wolves..Especially to that crazy receiver of your..LOL

LOL...they got a mind coach for Cam and not Steve..Now that is hard to believe.

Did they get one for Jimmy also? and why not? Wasn't Steve "the bully," breaking him down mentally also? Could have save you folks lots of money and just gotten a Therapist for Clausen instead of a new QB for Stevie to mentally destroy. Unless you fans get a kick out of watching your psycho recevier tear up his QBs instead of dealing with his own ish.

I wish I had a bridge to sell you.

Smith had to take anger management classes. But I guess that you wouldn't know that because you weren't around here white knighting for newton back then.

The Panthers did actually insist that Smith get anger management training and he did.

Look, I put out hard money for the product the Panthers put on the field. I save for it all year. Tickets to watch ridiculous preseason games at full price, gas to the games, food, and sometimes hotels because I live so far away.

I'm old now. I don't have time to wait another 10 years for the next great 'believe' project.

i wanted Newton here. I still want him here. He is rare athlete and at his heart, I believe a good person. To ask a 23 year old to bear the weight of a franchise is a lot,

This could be a good and turning point for him in his young life. Sometimes being the best athlete isn't enough. Some times we lose. It isn't a problem if we learn from it.

I wish the Cam the best. If this is true, and it helps him, good for the organization in recognizing what is easily seen and helping him see it too and helping with it.

We will learn an awful lot about the Panthers and Cam in Atlanta. What I have seen so far, if the other team is physical, and hits them in the mouth, they shrink. My hope is they will learn to hit back before I die.

He's got some kind of weird ass Cam fetish going on and now he's mad at Smitty for crawling Cam's ass. It's best to just try and ignore him.

Actually, I don't have some kind of "weird ass Cam fetish." Unlike you, I call things as I see it. I'm not a homer. I don't sit there and pretend there is nothing wrong with my team and everything is the QB's fault.

I support two teams, the Gaints and Jets. Both those teams have QBs with their own issues. Believe you me, I was just as pissed when the Jets threw Sanchez to the wolves that is our media. I called it as I saw it with those fans also when they got on that silly media created The Golden Calf of Bristol circus.

Some of You are quick to arrogantly mock other team fans but look how you behave when you lose a game. You now have your QB having mental issues and seeing a shrink. Name a team with that sort of behavior getting anyway near a Play-off nevermind SB.

Could you seriously see any receiver on the Saints doing to Drew Brees what Smithy has been doing to his QBs for years. Glad to see you folks rewarding bad behavior simply because it's not being called out by the media but you're quick to create false images of other players when the media makes it okay.

Yes I remembered that one...

How quickly they forget as soon as they run out and got him another QB to take his issues out on..

1) Steve Smith can pout all he wants. His resume speaks for itself and he can do whatever the hell he wants.

2) Steve Smith is a better person than you and Cam Newton put together, x 10. To judge Smith as a person for something that he did a few years ago is pretty stupid. To quote David Stern, "Do you still beat your wife?"

3) Steve Smith was 100% right in what he did. He is THE captain of the team and it is not only his role, it's his responsibility to berate a player on the team who doesn't meet the minimum standards, i.e. support your team. I guess you had no issues when Kalil and Gross did the same thing to Newton last year.

Correcting a player was considered bad behavior since when? The problem here is not what Smitty did to correct Newton but rather YOUR personal problem with Steve Smith.

What kind of football fan roots for the Giants and the Jets? That's like rooting for the Red Sox and the Yankees, Alabama and Auburn and the Lakers and Celtics all in one.

The fact that he has a mind coach period is a Huge Red flag imo...

He just needs to remove his head from his ass, man up, and come through in the clutch. It will happen, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Yep, he's such a bitch.

He needs to start blocking for himself, stop calling gimmicky college plays and of course play D.

What a fuging pussy.

I'm pretty sure that literally no one on here has this opinion.

To me it was not S.S job to do that regardless of him being a captain, but rather the coaches that should be handling that. That speaks once again to our HC position

Far as what S.S did, it was simply just advice which was true. If it was a blowout victory, don't stand there on the sideline and support the D and have fun, but if its a bad loss just sit on the bench

Far as the shrink and all that go, I have to hear it more and directly from just ESPN

He said he's a Giants fan but he was pulling for the Panthers Thurs. Go figure that out!
