As my screen name suggest, me being a native of Charlotte and my love of Football means I'm not going anywhere so spare me the bandwagon poo. Seems like all of a sudden I have become a villain for pointing out some uncomfortng things about Rivera.

I made this revelation earlier and posted it in another thread but wanted to make sure everyone was aware of it. fug me..I have been one of his biggest supporters and won't throw in towel this early but motherfuger Rivera...get your poo together!

We beat 5 unique teams last year. The buc's(fired Raheem Morris). The Colt's(fired Jim Caldwell) The Jag's(fired Del Rio)

We did manage to beat Shannahan(started John Beck who went 0-4 last year). and Kubiak(T.J Yates started) last year.

Then this year we beat the saints with their third string coach.

I come here to talk football and hear other views. Anybody have a more positive outlook on him than I currently do (without making personnel excuses)??

first, people are emotional. The "which coaches did they beat" bit is an anecdote.

Second, people think that being some slobbering, spitting, out of control jackass is going to make things better when things aren't going right. It's not. Rivera may be too stoic, but that's about the least relevant thing about coaching, and it's the one that people focus on the most.

I like how this team is built. Maybe it does or doesn't work out, but this is the way I'd build my team with their O and D schemes. I like the design of this team. It's another place that fans, and the teams, can over-react - giving you a worse fit in coaching because the philosophy is different.

Right now, I have a couple concerns - his game management (positive spin, he's young at this), his strength being defense I'd want to see major improvement from where things are right now.

More than anything, this is week 3 and it's awful to demand change right now or give up on a season just because people bought into Kalil and determined that this was clearly a contender. Guarantee that people that are currently devaluing the win against the Saints because it was Aaron Kromer weren't upset about it last week when they were buying in.
