Stupid Fan Mentalities

Aren't attitudes and behaviors considered "stupid fan mentalities" the reason sports fan message boards came into existence?

Not a rhetorical question, but I'm thinking this is probably the case. And couldn't the same be said for sports talk radio?

I've been around here too and there is always a meltdown after a loss. Then the server crashes along with it. Happens every single time.

I guess in your revisionist world this site once featured nothing but threads in we diagrammed plays and talked about the best way to attack the cover 2 defense. Get a clue.

when players don't show up, they will likely get criticized on the message boards. That is kind of what happens on message boards for sports teams. If you don't like reading the critics, don't log on the site.

If you want a rah-rah panthers site, make one and ban everyone who doesn't sh-t golden panther pellets and laser blue rainbows all the time. I am sure it will be a great success. Good luck.

Again, where did I say anything about not criticizing the players or coaches? But let's look at it this way: if you had a child who screwed up would you tell them "I'm disappointed in you" or "YOU STUPID PIECE OF SH*T, I KNEW YOU WRE GONNA F*CK UP!"

There's a reasonable way to feel after a loss and bitter, vile diatribes aren't it.

And they hear you rip them apart, how exactly? They don't know you exist, whether your coddle or crush them, so the only people you hurt are fellow fans who'd like to discuss their favorite team and not the psychological fortitude of someone they've never met.

That join date btw doesn't mean jack that dates from when the forum was reset because of a hack, I joined in april of 2005 to talk draft, back then real talk happened, the forums community has grown exponentially since with a huge influx of idiots who think their opinion matters
