Does Chud not think that Cam can run a pro style offense? Does he really think that the talent we have can't be used in the traditional way? I like how we're throwing in some options, but it's getting ridiculous that we're abandoning the pro offense completely. Who are we to say that the I-formation isn't effective? That's one hell of a claim. I think Chud has let this "wizard" reputation of his get to his head. Where exactly does Chud get this notion that we can call college plays 100% of the time? Does Chud have a problem respecting the defense talent in this league? He seems to think defenses are slower in speed and reactions than they really are. It's sad that he thinks we can rely on plays that take 3 seconds to develop, especially when we don't have a lead. Chud really needs to quit his poo.

Could it be that the "experts"were correct when they said Cam could not run a pro-style offense? Not saying it's true, but maybe the coaches are bringing him along slowly, seeing what he can handle and what he can't.

Wouldn't mind seeing someone get in his face when he starts his moping on the bench.... that crap needs to stop NOW

We can't test whether or not he can run a pro style offense if Chud assumes he can't....

Chud's ego is out of control. He thinks he can revolutionize the pro offense single-handedly. He needs to worry more about scoring points and winning games than being respected as an offensive guru/master tactician.

He ran it successfully last year, as a matter of fact, we used the read option situationally last year, mostly right outside of the redzone, in the redzone, or on 3rd downs. I think losing Shockey was huge, because Barney, and Olsen for that matter, aren't the greatest at blocking.

Issue isn't the read option....we have been a top offense in the NFL with it.

We run it bc it allows us to take advantage of all Cam has to offer.

The only issue is running it without Stewart. Chud needs to gameplan a traditional offense then.....

But since the read option has been introduced we have been an NFL offensive power. Option offense clearly works.

Chud just needs to realize when he can't use it. It needs to be 100% on the shelf if Williams is the primary RB. Give Williams a FB and work Cam under c

No. Have you not see RG3? The option is all the Redskins have been using this year. Is he not smart as well not to run it??

This is all on Chud, we ran plenty of pro style plays last year.

Cam has looked great in the pocket throwing big boy passes down the field. What about the passing game isn't professional enough?

You're a fuging fan. You claim things are terrible strategies after you see it not work for one game, and claim it's genius after you see it succeed in one game. Last week, Grantland wrote an article all about the effectiveness of the their options and how it does work against defenses like the Giants. But now that it didn't work on a short week it can never work against anyone. Even though it just ran all over the Saints. You ignore that the offense didn't have a key runningback and a left tackle.

Go watch college football or enjoy your saturday or something. How can this poo still get cranked out? It's been a day, now get over it.

If we need to abandon the option plays when Stewart isn't on the field, then why can't we just trash the option plays altogether and just play a "traditional" offense? Because the option plays work? Who's to say that our offense wouldn't work without running college plays? Does Chud not think Stewart can thrive in a traditional offense or does he really think that our running back talent is wasted using the i-formation?

Either way, I think Chud is full of himself and won't quit overthinking things. He really needs to quit imagining he knows so much more about offense than other offensive coordinators and especially defensive coordinators. He needs to realize that you don't need to try so hard to create a successful offense in today's league. It seems he prefers to imagine that creating an effective offense requires more creativity than it really does.

Trying to build his resume, obviously wanting a HC job next season. He's doing wayyyy too much.

We aren't a power-running team anymore. That was pretty evident last year.

We were more of a power running team last year than you think. We just used an extra TE/H-Back to trap/wham block, since we didn't have a capable FB.

We ran a 3 WR set 41% last year, not that's up to 70% this year.

I remember the first play we ran last year against the Cardinals was in a 2 TE set, and we ran a boot action with Cam to get him out on the edge. Cam is the most accurate QB in the league when on the run, and if we want to take advantage of his athletic ability, we need to incorporate more of this in our offense. It puts way more pressure on the defense than the read option.
