How good do you think the team would be under Rivera with a better GM?

But they also got Carlos Rodgers and Donte Whitner. Rodgers was a major disappointment in Washington, and Whitner couldn't cover worth a damn in Buffalo. And then they both went to San Franscisco and kicked ass. Do you think their 2011 performance was more due to being signed by Baalke or to being coached by Harbaugh?

Anyone who tells you coaching is not THE most important element in a team is misleading you.

There is one, and only one, reason good coaches win. They are good coaches.

That said. As excited as I was with the Rivera signing. I have to admit, I am just a little concerned with certain aspects of his coaching style. First is his game management. Whether he is just inexperienced so he is questioning himself. Maybe delaying decisions, or not making one at all. Trying to learn the job on the field is part of the job discription. He just seems to be a step behind at this point.

Secondly. Also not convinced with the preperation aspect either. 2 out of 3 games we seemed to be under perpared. That we were not ready for what we were up against. Whether he believes his scheme has it covered, or that the players can execute it, it does not seem to be working.

I know this is only week 4 of year two. But I am concerned.
