Laying in a hospital bed

Heading into day 3 of zero food or water. They won't let me get out of thE bed so I'm rank as hell. The wife is bringing wipes tomorrow am. Doc said if my body continues to heal the way it has that surgery may be avoidable. How I have no idea.

That doesn't make sense to me... if it ruptured/got lacerated, that part of your large intestine should be removed. Did they do a CT scan and determine it was only swollen?

I'm in the hospital with my wife. She had her gallbladder taken out on Monday and having complications. Bile Is leaking from the surgery site. She's on dilauded as well because bile in your abdominal cavity is like pouring acid on an open wound. Looking at another surgery on Monday to put a stent in.

Hope your wife is ok. (((hugs)))

Didn't make sense to me either. Drank contrast and was loaded up with dye and had a ct done. I can only assume its not a massive cut or tear but he did say there was one. Doc seems to think a few days of bed rest, no food or waterm(going on day four now) will give my bowels a chance to rest and heal up.

I hope he is right. Not looking forward to a,colostomy bag for a couple months then a follow up surgery.

Tell her she has a battle buddy thinking about her!
