One giant sign

Recommended Posts

He apparently is building a sign for the Giants and will place that engraving in/on it somewhere to inevitably curse and destroy their organization.

actually there isn't a way I can get in trouble for this one. the sign is already bought and paid for through a seperate company in New Jersey. All liability for the sign currently rests on that company. Once the installers put the sign up, then it's all the new york giants problem. The plates are also welded in and attatched with an industrial strength epoxy that can only be removed via blowtorch. That, plus the location of the plates means that even if they want to get a picture of these things they'll have to destroy the sign. There's a lot of other neat little legal loopholes involved here, but it all winds up with me being in the clear.

Oh, and the sign I'm making is about 16' high by 14' wide broken up into 6 different sections. We haven't gotten the sections put together yet. I'll be sure to post some more pics on here when we get it looking more intelligent.

A few more pics from friday's work. The first is the plates welded in to the LED channel that will go around the outer edge of the sign. The second is the two pieces of the huge N put together.

We're left with having to put the huge Y together and then attatch the LED channel to it. Once we get it to that point I'll post a few final pics.

If you've ever wondered what about $4000 of wholesale 1/8" thick aluminum sheetmetal looks like, well here ya go!
