2) Read option run plays need to be trimmed down as well as the vanilla D sets.

3) Realize its a long season and we have a young passionate QB that needs some better play calling and O line play...the kid can toss the rock.

1) better pass blocking- Giants d-line is exceptional so this might not be out of the question

2) better qb pressure, outside of one CJ play early and one Frank Alexander sack, it was non-existent last night

3)Win the turnover battle- but still have Cam throw a pick (I know this is specific, but I'd really like for Cam to bounce back strong from a pick)

1 O- line We saw that they can play when they vs'd the saints. So its a heart issue. (dont know how to fix it unless someone beats the crap out of the kid from captain planet and steals his ring}

2 Playcalling - we all watched the issues with that but I dont know how to fix it other that to say stop trying to fool people and start trying to move them.

Ron needs to sit Chud down and remind him of what Mike Martz is doing now career wise, after being called an offensive genius just a few years back. Coming out for the first play in a wildcat with Cam split out wide is almost as insane as lining up Gross as a slot receiver. Enough is enough.

Agree with others that I would rather see us die by pressure and blitzes than the slow bleeding to death from this soft zone, rush 4 on every play stuff.

If we start to lose our composure again, please Ron, take a TO, and have a short meeting on the sideline to get everyone focused. Don't just stand there all night like you're trying to figure out the plot of an obscure foreign film. Want the team to have some fire? Show some yourself.

-At least present the threat of a traditional offense on 3rd and short situations.

-Run plays that don't require as much time develop.

-Put Sherrod Martin back in the starting line up so we can put 7 or 8 in the box and actually stop the run.

-Play tight man coverage.

-Make sure to bump TEs.

-Don't let Greg Olsen block JPP

-Work on shorter passing game for when we have to account for the opposing rush.

-Fire that crappy special teams coach, and bring some one in who know's what they're doing and how to teach it.

Yeah, 1 and 3 would be a disappointment, but I believe most of us can live with the losses as long as the team is fighting hard and looks prepared. Atlanta is a good team. We very well may play our best and still lose a tough road game. It just would be nice to see the team play at least close to their potential, and we didn't see that last night.

2: stop the read option base offense

If cam is so bad at the pro set stick with the pistol

3: work 89 in the slot and over the middle

4: man up on D if we're gonna get beat let's get beat straight up. No more zone d line up Mano y Mano and slug it out. Send the house

5: play with more than just a little enthusiasm.

• We need to come in with an actual game plan. We looked lost against the Giants.
  
• We need to use the gadget plays for what they are and not as our base offense. Cam threw for over 4000 yards last year. Why are we going to option plays now?
  

I don't know why but, in Cams first year; it's like we came out to prove that he can throw and run. This year, it's like we want to prove that he can run the option.

I don't think that we have an internal identity. Until we establish that, we won't be consistent.

Thanks Zod for a reasonable thread. Does anyone remember that the current SB champs barely made the playoffs last year? We are a young team. Hopefully these are growing plays. I am not giving up on this team...players or coaching staff.

Study the Chargers/Falcons game like a map on Sunday. No reason Chud/Rivera can't treat that game like they aren't there preparing for it/calling it. If the Falcons blowout the Chargers, then they should figure out how to adjust by next Sunday.
