Rivera Presser @ 12

Ron Rivera says he handles Cam Newton in his own way. Thinks Cam leadership question will be moot when Panthers get where they want to be.

Yeah, I doubt we will get where we want to be as long as that moron Rivera is on the sidelines looking clueless.

Favorite part: he mentioned "nobody did a good job. players, coaches". Good. Put it out there that the entire organization needs to improve. I don't know...I have a good feeling about the next game. I expect a drastic improvement come the Atlanta game....or we spiral into oblivion this season. I don't see a middle ground.

Can't believe all the crap Cam is getting...

Interesting. Do you think he handled the press conference maturely?

Do you think his pouting is inspiring to his teammates?

We want him to be like a coach on the field, right? Would you be okay with any of our coaches acting like that?

Still love Cam. I just want him to buck up and be the leader I believe he can be. Once he gets it together upstairs, the sky is the limit for this guy.

But why should we have hope that they will do a good job next time around?

Gut feeling more than anything. Plus, more time to watch film and prepare (even if it's just our own film from last night and the film we have of Atlanta/NY). We have a few days to rest our guys so we can go harder into practice Monday. I think this was a huge wake up call to the staff and players. Getting smacked around like that in a big game ALWAYS has one of two outcomes: you either put your nose to the grindstone and improve, or you fall and die. You never stay the same (and that's week to week, regardless of how big the game was). I just have hope that we'll improve rather than get worse.

Exactly, its not that complicated to not act the way he does. He knows it, his coaches know it, his team mates know it. He's admitted it and still sulks.....and on the biggest professional stage he has ever been on. At least pretend you aren't doing it.....or try to

It's clear our front office is in the "Fox hole" together for the long haul. Hurney was on the post game last night saying how awesome Ron is doing and what great job he's doing delivering a consistent message. Smh...

Obviously we shouldn't expect them to throw one another under the bus, but last night wasn't a time for pats on the back.
