Yeah, because the read option has done NOTHING but fail us all season so far. Do you even watch the games?

Look, I agree that we shouldn't run it as much. It should be a play to be utilized, not a play that is the base of our running attack. However, to say it doesn't work is demonstrably false. Look at the film. When it gets blocked correctly, it works. Pissed that it doesn't work? Blame the OL. Same as any offensive play, really (unless it's a pass, in which case you can argue its a WR or QB).

The read option has the ability to be deadly. The problem is, we do it every play. Tampa set the mold for beating the read option and it is blitz right into it and bring pressure.

Chud needs to make adjustments and run screens, slants and quick outs from the gun, if he wants to keep the pass rush back.

Also, Cam needs to be under center more. I know it is not his forte, but Chud is doing nothing for his development by having him out of shotgun every play.

Cam is LeBron. He's held to a higher standard than other QBs, and he's not allowed to just lose. My thoughts on the read option.

Good plays to mix in here or there but not as the base of the entire offense. This joke of faking it on every pass, and for every run Ben predicated on it, it will never work. Ever. I been watching the nfl for too long.

Did I see last year? Um, we went 6-10. Did we not? Not 10-6. It didnt work to perfection. Yes, it beat new Orleans and was good when we were out in front a few scores but we built that lead by throwing it down field. The read option isn't consistent. I can point to opening day in Tampa just as easily when it was a fuging disaster. It doesn't work with any degree of consistency.

Especially against a fast aggressive defense like the giants when we should be screening. I mean how can Chud not know this? He does know this it's just stubborn arrogance of nfl head coach raring it's ugly head.

The biggest problem with this team taking the next step is being a prisoner to this NCAA offense

He'll say Cam is a great athlete (everyone says this) and in the next breath, talk about how running quaterbacks can't work in the NFL, everyone needs to sit inside the pocket all day, etc. He makes sly comments that suggest Cam won't be successful long term, and now he's finally come out and said it straight up.

"Old school" guys like Cowherd can't accept a young, flashy and brash, swagged-out QB like cam who's athleticism alone wins him some games. Problem is Cam can't play defense. He is not ready to acknowledge Cam's impact on the game and potential dynasty he is building.

I wouldn't call him racist, but those views certainly fall into line with "white friendly" programming.

RG3 and Wilson don't intimidate old white guys. Cam does. Cowherd is pandering to those people.
