It's up to us to decide how we spend our sundays and react to this team as they get paid regardless.

Do I feel sorry for the Panthers, no, I don't. Some teams and players and coaches rise in the moment, some shrink.

This team shrunk. They almost always do.

If I feel sorry for anyone, it's Steve Smith. What little heart this team has, is in him.

Until the cast changes, it will take something monstrous, or a team captain(s), or someone with play on the field to inspire to change where this team is headed.

I guess after 16 years of it, and 4 coaches, I'm tired. I don't have time or money to stick around for the 5th.

We need a victory badly in the next couple weeks, either Seattle or Atlanta, hopefully both. If we're 2-3 going into the bye week, the season is still within reach. If we're 3-2, we'll be right there in the hunt. If we have two weeks to stew over a 1-4 record though, I think that might be devastating for this team mentally.
