I do not know about starting at this point. I do agree with you that he probably could have done better last night.

I want to say good, but I'm worried Cam will just mope in it and now it will become a mental burden on him worrying about his relationship with Smitty.

But, I completely understand Smitty. I love Cam. Everyone knows I was touting Cam as our franchise changer before we drafted him, but last night was the first time his demeanor actually bothered me. He appeared to be ignoring Shula everytime he went to the sideline and anytime he made a mistake he just looked pissed off, which was understandable, but he never appeared to approach the linemen or receivers and try to rally them up.

He really just looked disconnected and distant.

So, if it was the first time it bothered me, considering we were being embarrassed on national TV and how much was riding on this game, I know it bothered Smitty.
