Second Round Pick for a D2 Player

Oh dont get me wrong Gross and Kalil both got tossed around but Silatolu has gotten abused the entire season where the other two only had an off night. I know its mad early to be judging but you would think that at this point with a full off season and full preseason he would be showing some glimmer of promise but I haven't seen anything.

We have a run blocking OL....that is asked to be a pass protecting OL to much. More about usage than talent.

And the OL can run block....just need to call the right plays for the right RB

No doubt that our line is better suited for run blocking. But is it really too much to ask for them to at least be decent at pass protection?

Amini did well this game, he only gave up one hurry. His only bad game was Tampa?

Maybe I am remembering incorrectly and part of that may have to do with the beer but to mine and my brothers count, Silatolu ended up on his ass like 6-7 times last night. Dont get me wrong there are definitely other problems but i wouldnt call this or any game hes played so far a stellar performance.

I thought Gross got abused more than out D2 G did last nite.

but, I will go back and watch the game again.

again, I say...gross is overrated and get abused more than people are willing to admit. no doubt he can play but at the end of the day he gets beat as much as the other side. often lifted off his feet like in tampa.

I dont think it was that many, though I wasn't paying attention .Honestly I don't care how many times he falls, if you give up one hurry, you've had a good night.

Point taken, I guess I just expect if we take an OLman in the second round that he should be putting up stellar games. But i see where you are coming from.
