Good notes from the game

There are none. Pure crap how we played but atleast we took this hard loss early in the season rather then later when it could've mattered. Last year we bombed the tennessee game away and we got our act straight. Let's just hope we can get our act straight now. If a ass whoopin is what we need to wake up and realize we need to play better, then ill take this lose and move on. Still seeing big things and we didn't lose to our division so we are still in good shape just a long ass week. Sean mcdermott needs to play man coverage more though. That zone coverage crap don't work when you have two years to sit in the pocket.

Actually, there is a positive in a game like this: when you suffer pure embarrassment and all of your flaws are exposed, you have nothing to fall back on.

Last year, it was all about the defense being injured. Last night, we had some guys out but this team should have gotten the job done. There are no more excuses and the team knows it. Real, soul-searching responses will be required of every player and coach to a man. Those that don't respond need to go. If we had gone through this season losing a bunch of close games then excuses could have been made and changes wouldn't have been forthcoming, but sometimes you need to rip the scab off and see just how infected the wound is in broad daylight.

They were humiliated; now we really see what kind of team we have. We get to see what kind of leaders we have, from Cam and Rivera to Beason and Kalil. And we will know the truth.

I think the only bright spot (perspective - bright being a 25 watt bulb in a fog bank kind of bright) was flashes from Frank Alexander and Keuchly seemed to have a good play or two.

The problems we had last year (D line and CB) are the same problems we have this year. Additiionally, I think that the defenses we have played have been able to game plan very well against the offense (excluding NO). That coupled with the fact that we are playing from behind limits what the offense can do. Not a big x and o guy but I think the Giants did the exact same thing the Bucs did to this team only in a much more beatdown kind of way.

This is pretty much what I said after game one. Seems this team has an issue with long term memory.

    • I like that a lot; Ware from Troy and also Khalil Mack who played at University of Buffalo
    • I remember the Huddle consensus over the course of last season and the previous one. Lots of Bryce is a bust, we should've drafted a 4th slot WR, should've kept Wilks, should've kept an armless Cam, etc etc. So... yea... already thought about that. I wouldn't trust the Huddle to detail my car, let alone run a multi-billion dollar professional sports team. 😛
    • bold prediction, I think Mike Green will be the best pass rusher in this class, and thats even with abdul carter.  He reminds me of demarcus ware, not just in size and prowess, but even coming from a Sunbelt school (Ware from Troy, Green from Marshall).  I think he is passionate about the sport where I think Carter as the physical freak might not have the heart.  Thats the guy Im sold on and am gonna hammer the table for, I know he's not projected 8, but he is projected like 12-13, so if a slide back can happen and we still get the guy I want, I'm 100% on board. All that said, it takes 2 to tango, I think the Cowboys are the tango-er.  IMO theres a VERY good shot that Jeanty is available at 8.  Why does that matter?  Not only do the cowboys NEED a runningback (dak sucks without a run game), but MORE importantly, gee where did Jeanty play in high school.....Frisco TX, literally Dallas Metro.  Soo, RB is a position of need and the best RB and most blue chip draft selection that  could improve the offense immensly played IN dallas metro AND will be in range for them to move up and pick?  Do ya think Jerry Jones is gonna just say no to the Jersey Sales?  Jerry might have sexually assaulted a woman and attempted to prevent black people from going to school, but he's no idiot (he is).  IMO, we get a good enough package, prlly their first and third,  maybe a conditional later and we move to 12.  We get Green, they get Jeanty, everbuddy happy.
