post game melancholy

I am disappointed, but a long way from melancholy about a loss. At the end of the day, it's just not that serious.

The "bad" thing is that everyone on my job knows I am a Panthers fan. I have a customer who is a Giants fan, and we have been talking smack to each other before the season started. Well, I know he's showing up next week with a big grin, and I'm going to have to take the ribbing like a man. It won't be like this always. I'll have my day eventually.

5 years ago and id be in a super depression, now im pretty much completely apathetic. Im used to it.

Over time I have gotten used to this team being mediocre.

Panthers have their share of talented players that I would love to see succeed, but as a team they just haven't jelled in quite a few years.

That has tempered my expectations somewhat, so the disappointment isn't as strong as it once was.

This game hurts more than others. Just when we begin to think we've arrived it seems we're back to feeling crappy about our chances again. One step forward, two steps backwards.

Kinda feels like one of your best friends let you down or something.

I get really fuggin mad for a while, then I'm stressed out for the rest of the day. At least this was a night game so I can sleep it off.

Well Sunday should be relatively stress free.

We can spend more time with the family or get some yardwork done.
