Finished Season 4 of 'Breaking Bad'...a statement and a question.

Obviously if you haven't reached the end of Season 4...spoilers ahead.

First off, I think that had that been the series finale I would have been fine with it. It seems like a great way to end the series. Gus is dead, Cartel is down, Hank, Jesse, and Walt are all fine. So I'm kind of confused as to why there would even be a Season 5, since this would have ended it perfectly IMO. Anything else would be anti-climatic I would think.

As for the question I had...did Walt actually poison that little kid? I have to believe it was him since the plant was in his back yard...but it really seems to go against his character, IMO.

Well I suppose it really wasn't that far off of his character considering how they built him up...a 'protect your family at all costs' kind of guy. But wow I really didn't expect that. They didn't clarify whether or not the poison was life threatening or something that would just get the kid really sick. If it's the former then it makes it tough to like his character.

But I'm glad I kept watching. Such great writing and production values...I may have to check out more of AMC's originals.

The Heisenberg angle may be cool...but if he goes off killing kids or innocent people, then I most definitely wouldn't like him. But I've always had the feeling that Walter takes too much crap. His wife cheats on him, Jesse (of all people) kicks his butt, etc...etc. I wouldn't mind seeing him becoming more assertive...as long as it isn't too out there.

It's kind of like the Soprano's...I kind of dug Tony as a character, and he never killed innocent people (that I recall), but in the last season he started going off the deep end and I ended up not liking him very much.

Watch the where the gun points when he spins it in his backyard while contemplating what to do.

The gun points right to his Lilly of the valley plant. It was Walt.

Ahhh....I didn't notice that. I did notice that the first two times the gun pointed at himself then it pointed away. I did catch the end where they showed the plant...I guess they did that for people like me that miss a lot of stuff during the first viewing...lol.
